Gibraltar Sunset Elopement
Updated: Apr 28
As the sun set on my final wedding of the year, I had the pleasure of photographing Samantha and Liam from the US and UK.
They chose to elope and marry in Gibraltar due to travel bans and restrictions, with Gibraltar being the only available country in the world to allow them to go ahead with their civil wedding ceremony.
Their marriage took place at 7pm on a Friday in late December, so we decided to meet at 6pm to catch the last of the winter light and beautiful sunset for their pre-wedding photography session at the Queensway Quay Marina.
I rarely get to meet my Elopement couples in person before their actual wedding day and instead get to know each other on whatssapp.
But when I met up with these guys I knew instantly we were on the same page and the photography session flowed. After capturing the beautiful light it was time to head over to The Lounge restaurant, a 5 minutes walk across the marina, to being their civil marriage ceremony at The Lounge.
